SAFOD General Assembly was held on the 19 - 21 September, 2007 in Windhoek, Namibia

The supreme governing authority of SAFOD is vested in the General Assembly, which is to be convened at least once every five years. Extra-ordinary General Assemblies could be called anytime upon request by the Regional Executive Council or by at least one third of the total national membership of SAFOD.
The General Assembly compromises of two voting disability and gender balanced delegates from each national cross-disability federation/National Assembly. All members of the Executive Council are eligible for re-election to the Regional Executive Council. Any number of observers from any organisation with interest in disability issues according to the Constitution can attend the General Assembly on request. The Chairperson of the Regional Executive Council chairs the General Assembly.-----
