In SAFOD and all its national member organisations the disabled persons must be on the forefront of their own development. “Nothing about us – without us”. SAFOD supports and encourages the formation of disabled peoples’ organisations (DPO) and strengthen the existing ones. SAFOD is the regional representative of Southern Africa to the world-wide movement of people with disabilities, Disabled Peoples’ International (DPI).
